What better way to record the history of a groundbreaking
communications company than through the voices of its
people: the company's pioneers, who set up the communications
networks in far-flung areas of the world, and kept them
going against the odds?
Cable & Wireless approved of this innovative approach
and commissioned an oral history, Voices Over the Horizon.
BPC handled every stage, from selecting the author,
Dr David Souden, and designing and copy-editing the
book, through to publishing, publicity, warehousing
and distribution.
Voices of Change, a second volume covering Cable
& Wireless' privatisation from the early 1970s
up to the present day, has been produced by BPC.
