A few words from our
clients...
|
|
| Jesus: The Life of
a Cambridge College is, on any reckoning, a handsome volume
and members and friends of the College have been delighted
with it. BPC's superb publishing team - managing editor, book
designer, copy editor, proofreaders, production manager - were
a pleasure to work with, and not only because they were so
keen to ensure that every aspect of the book was absolutely
right. They provided its editor (me!) with all the support he
could have hoped for. |

Emeritus Fellow Jesus College, Cambridge

|
| Just
a massive thank you from the team here at the Careers Service
- the books were delivered this morning and look great. We
appreciated hugely your help, ideas, and general
professionalism - so THANKS. |

Service

|
| The
level of assistance, help and encouragement offered by BPC
from the inception of this project to its completion has been
exceptional. All involved have not only been extremely
professional throughout but clearly also had a great strength
of personal feeling for the book and this always gave one the
feeling of working with a company for whom the customer clearly
mattered. The design, production and editorial excellence of
the company shone through from start to finish. The prospect
of publishing a book is a daunting one but the path was
smoothed all the way by BPC - I cannot recommend them highly
enough. |

| Once again,
working with BPC was more like fun than work. Where else do
you get a designer who's cheerfully willing to comply
with every new phase of the client's ideas (thank you,
Pete), production people who give you the figures exactly as
you want them and within hours of being asked (thank you
Debbie), instant turn-round of copy with eagle-eyed editing
(thank you Jo'e), coffee provided the minute you appear (thank
you Jo) and sandwiches brought you by the boss (thank you
Colin)? Not to mention a sumptuous product at a really
reasonable rate, with no corners cut, delivered on time and to
the right address. 25 years on from when I first used them,
BPC are as good as ever. |

| Everyone here at Spencer
Stuart is delighted with Spencer Stuart: The First Fifty
Years. All the compliments are about the production &
design, which seem to be exceeding everyone's expectations. I know that we forced you to tear up just about every production
schedule you produced, nevertheless you always continued to pursue
the best possible outcome for us. The design is really
terrific, the format, paper quality, endpapers and bulk all
perfect. The jacket finished off what is a really high quality
production worthy of Spencer Stuart's 50th anniversary. |

| Excellent job! Can I
just take this opportunity to thank you, Jo and Jo'e for your
help in producing the book, it was hard work but we got there
in the end! It certainly provided an interesting insight
in to the publishing world! Next time I decide to write
a book you'll be top of the list! |

| You'll be pleased to know that
we are very happy with the end result and I've already had some
very encouraging feedback from various people. Please pass on my
thanks and congratulations to everyone at BPC for producing such
an excellent result in such a short time. It was both fun and a
pleasure working with your team again, all of whom continue to
be so enthusiastic, accommodating, patient and understanding.
They also have this fantastic ability of being able to maintain
a "can do" approach, even under the most difficult
circumstances and, at the same time, give the client the
reassuring feeling that they the are the most important thing on
their mind at that particular time. |

|
| Just a quick email to thank
you and especially your two colleagues at BPC, Tim McPhee and
Sue Gray, for their work on our beautiful new leaflet promoting
the Careers Service to our students. Although it may have been a
small, routine job for your company, this little flier
represents a major step for us into the realms of colour, design
and high quality marketing material. I was delighted to see the
final result. Thank you again. |

| This is just a note to say how
magnificent I think the just published annual report is. It's
stylish, meaty and easy on the eye and does us proud. The whole
thing is a world away from the tired and turgid reports I edited
for so many years and I think everyone connected with the
project deserves huge congratulations. |

|
| We were aiming very high, in
terms of book production, and you can't be an expert in
everything. We saw that at the outset we needed to hire really
experienced people in the field of book-production. We went to
BPC, whose staff from the top downwards were extremely
supportive. Since 1997 they have helped us product eight
volumes, all of which have reaped high praise |

| You
really have achieved something for us that we couldn’t have
done here (not without me having a nervous breakdown, I assure
you!) |
|

|
| I
am writing to record my thanks and sincere appreciation for
BPC's help and assistance in producing The History of
General Accident. The book has now been fully distributed
throughout the world and has, without exception, been very
well received. |
|
|
…Stephanie
was the perfect project manager with the project being
achieved on time and within
|
| budget
and Peter Young's style was ideal for producing a serious
company history but one that is very readable. CGU (now CGNU)
considers itself to have been well served. |
|
| Richard Whitaker - Group Company Secretary, CGNU plc (Now
AVIVA plc) |
|
| We are absolutely
delighted with the book and have received nothing but
favourable comments. Let us hope that we will speak about a
reprint order!

| As
a major charity, our publishing needs are complex and
wide-ranging. BPC has always responded swiftly and sensitively
to those needs, and with real understanding of the NCT ethos. |

|
| The
main challenge of our publications lies in their detailed
complexity. It is a considerable organisational and logistical
task to co-ordinate and manage a variety of continually
changing information. |

|
For
10 years BPC has demonstrated a proven ability to deliver our
publications to high standards of
|
| editorial
and production quality whilst consistently achieving revenue
targets. |
