The PICA Club
The Pica Club (Publishing in Cambridge Association) meets once a term where possible for a dinner, generally in Emmanuel College, with a Guest Speaker.

Previous speakers include Terry Jones, Lord Stockton, Colin Forbes, Sir Clement Freud, Ken Livingstone, John Timpson, Peter Ackroyd, David Lodge, Richard Charkin, Christopher Sinclair-Stevenson, Ernest Saunders, Mary Archer, Sir Malcolm Field, Terry Maher, Frank Delaney, Malcolm Bradbury, Barry Unsworth, Edina Currie, Sebastain Faulks, Leslie Thomas, Roger Scruton, Ben Okri, Diana Rigg, Michael Dobbs, Sue Townsend, Maeve Binchey and Jeffrey Archer.

If you earn a buck in publishing whether you edit the company newspaper or commission bestsellers, librarians, writers, booksellers, printers, designers you can become a member.

Dinners are around £30 a head and are limited to 70 people. They are not black-tie and occasionally bread rolls are thrown during heated discussions.
